The C&MA Lei Tung Nursery School was opened in April 1988. The school always upholds the vision of paying equal attention to education and care in the love of Christ and providing appropriate education for children aged 2 to 6. In respond to societal needs, the school’s services have become more diverse, with value-added services including the Integrated Programme, occasional child care service, and extended hours service. The school values spiritual education of the Bible and cultivates children’s physical, mental, and spiritual health. The school also adopts project-based pedagogy, which uses the interests and experiences of children as topics for exploration to enhance their motivation to learn. Besides, professional early childhood education teachers utilize creative ideas and implement diversified learning activities to encourage children to grasp foundational knowledge and exploration skills through games and practice.

課程特色


The school curriculum is based on the stages of development of children, the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide”, and the school’s mission to be “children-oriented”, in line with parental and society needs, and emphasizes on the cultivation of children’s knowledge, skills, and attitude.

The school adopts project-based learning pedagogy and provides foundational learning courses, which can effectively enhance the knowledge, learning abilities, and attitude of children. Our curriculum is comprehensive and balanced, thus establishing a solid foundation for early learning. Daily learning activities are conducted in groups. On one hand, this can enhance interactivity of children’s learning for establishing healthy social skills. On the other hand, teachers can provide appropriate care according to the different learning stages of children. The school attaches equal importance to spiritual education of the Bible. We hold morning assemblies and pray with children, which promote the physical, mental, and spiritual health of children.

The school uses photos, observational analysis, and comprehensive reports to demonstrate the learning outcomes of children, as well as systematically collects children’s works to record their developmental journeys. Parents can understand the growth of their children through the “Children Developmental Journeys Portfolio”, helping children to achieve all-round development.

 

Every year, the school promotes learning content related to "Chinese culture" to help children understand the country and Chinese culture, and cultivate a sense of belonging to the country; cultivate children's national concept and national identity; teach children to abide by laws and regulations, care for public property, respect and care Others, be good citizens. Parents can browse the results of K2 children's learning of Chinese culture this year - "Chinese Culture" for children to play.
